Oh Happy Day!
Several up and down days lately. Last week the ER doctor told Dad that he is terminal and discussed hospice. First of all, if you aren't a cancer specialist you should not be saying this. We have not heard the word terminal since he was diagnosed with the tumor on his pancreas. That was a frustrating day for us all.
On Friday (8/14), he went for his visit to the cancer treatment center...blood work and look at the CT scan from the ER...AND the results of this show his tumor is getting smaller and his blood work is looking much better (some almost back to normal!). The liver enzymes have been incredibly high since his very first visit to the ER when he found out he had cancer.
We will focus on the GREAT news from the CTCA doctors who know Dad best and are the specialist. I kept telling my dad he is one of a kind and these results prove it! Only 15% of people have POSITIVE results from his treatment and we knew he would be one of them.
Next month he will do a CT scan which will measure the actual size the tumor is now. He had his 3rd injection so he is entering his 3rd month of treatment.
Thanks for all the support, love and prayers….miracles do happen.
